Keep Attention & Focus on a Day by Day Basis
For many of us who are easily distracted, being able to focus on what is right in front of us – be it work, reading a book, completing homework or even making it through a shopping list at a grocery store – is a major undertaking.
By now you’ve probably read and heard a whole lot about the multitude of benefits cannabidiol (CBD) offers, ranging from calming to relieving discomfort throughout the body. But did you know that full spectrum hemp CBD oil can also help you focus on the task at hand?
How We Function
It all begins within our endocannabinoid system (ECS), a biochemical communication system that regulates the peripheral and central nervous system (including the brain), immunological system, organs, and vital physiological functions. It ensures that the major systems of the body work synergistically. When there is a deficiency of endocannabinoid production, the ECS’s cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2 utilize the addition of phytocannabinoids (plant based cannabinoids, including those found in hemp) to help create calm, balance and ease and provide support for relaxing, repairing or restoring.
CBD does not bind with cannabinoid receptors, however, it works to help the availability of the cannabinoids created within our ECS. It also interacts with other receptors in our body, including binding with serotonin and dopamine.
Serotonin not only improves mood, it can also facilitate focus and productivity. Dopamine helps to boost focus and concentration. Although THC releases higher dopamine levels, it can cause an adverse effect in the brain such as paranoia or anxiety. That’s why CBD is an ideal option – the same benefits, minus the risk of increasing anxiety.
For people with anxiety or the blahs, it can be especially difficult to focus. Taking full spectrum hemp CBD oil to improve mood and address anxiety can result in an increased ability to focus, too.
As a bonus, CBD has neuroprotective benefits. This is important for our cognitive abilities and helps us to stay focused throughout the day.
Auntie Dolores offers several excellent options to address focus:
- 1500 mg oil dropper bottle – 50 mg per full dropper
- 750 mg oil dropper bottle (unflavored) – 25 mg per full dropper
- 25 mg capsules
We recommend a starting dose of 25 – 50 mg of CBD for adults. Each person is a unique individual with individual needs. If you have limited experience with CBD, you may want to start with 25 mg two times per day and decide if the desired results are achieved. It is perfectly safe to increase your dosage or frequency. Hemp-derived CBD is non-toxic and non-psychoactive.
