2020 has been a doozy. Between the pandemic, quarantines, politically charged civil unrest and the election, it’s no wonder self-care got lost in the shuffle.

It’s never too late to start again. And what better time than the new year! These are the self-care resolutions the Auntie Dolores team is making for 2021 – we invite you to join us.

Start or renew your meditation practice

According to the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, research suggests that meditation may physically change the brain and body, could potentially help to improve many health problems and promote healthy behaviors. Commit to restful sleep

Create a sustainable fitness routine

Regular physical activity can improve brain health, improve mood, strengthen bones, muscles and joints, support heart health and so much more.  The key to a beneficial routine is to find activities you enjoy. Choose from walking, running, dancing, weight training, high intensity interval training, cycling, yoga, Pilates, gymnastics, barre classes – the list goes on and on. Be sure to incorporate and alternate strengthening and cardiovascular exercises. Aim for at least 30 minutes of activity each day. This is your time!
